
Atlantis Artistic Swimming Club
Atlantis is an independent artistic swimming club based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We offer both pre-competitive and competitive programs.
The mission of Atlantis Artistic Swimming Club is to provide an inclusive, confidence-building, fun, disciplined environment in which athletes acquire physical, social, and mental skills that will benefit them for life.
Our Programs
AquaGO!
We are pleased to offer Aqua Go! the nation-wide grassroots foundation program for artistic swimming in Canada. Led by certified instructors, the program is designed to meet the needs of children who will find the content fun to learn while participating in a safe and welcoming environment. Children may use their new acquired skills to advance further in the sport of artistic swimming or may transfer them to other aquatic and land-based activities.
The program runs 1-1.5 hrs per week.
Adaptive Programs
Atlantis is excited to offer adaptive programming for athletes with disabilities. The Aqua Go! program is led by certified instructors, with a focus on fun. Aqua Go! is an accessible and inclusive program, welcoming all abilities, skill levels and participants. The program can be catered to ensure each individual swimmer's needs and abilities are met through one-on-one training or full integration into an inviting, small group session.
Non-Competitive Teams
An advanced recreational program for swimmers ages 8 years and up who wish to take their artistic swimming skills to the next level without competition.
Show Team is a recreational program for swimmers ages 12 years and up who wish to continue improving their technical skills and fitness, while preparing routines for our watershows throughout the season. The emphasis in this program is on artistic expression versus competition.
Both programs runs 4 hours per week.
Competitive 9-10
A competitive program for athletes who are 9 or 10 years old on December 31 of the competition season year.
In addition to 3-4 local competitions, the team shows off their skills for friends and family at the end-of-session water shows.
The program runs 6 hrs per week.
Competitive 11-12
A competitive program for athletes that will be 11 or 12 years old on December 31 of the competition season year.
In addition to 3-4 local competitions, and 1-2 within Atlantic Canada, the team shows off their skills for friends and family at the end-of-session water shows.
The program runs 8-10 hours per week.
13-15 Provincial Stream
A competitive program for athletes between 13-15 years old on December 31 of the competition season year.
In addition to 3-4 local competitions and 1 within Atlantic Canada, the team shows off their skills for friends and family at the end-of-session water shows.
The program runs 10-13 hours per week.
13-15 National Stream
A competitive program for athletes between 13-15 years old on December 31 of the competition season year. Atlantis is proud to offer this program at the Provincial and National level. The club runs assessments for athletes in this age category to determine team placement.
In addition to 3-4 local competitions, 1 within Atlantic Canada, and 2 national competitions, the team shows off their skills for friends and family at the end-of-session water shows.
The program runs 16 hours per week.

Juniors
A competitive program for athletes that will be 16 years or older on December 31 of the competition season year. Atlantis is proud to offer this program at the National level. The club runs assessments for athletes in this age category to determine team placement.
In addition to 3-4 local competitions, 1 within Atlantic Canada, and 2 national competitions, the team shows off their skills for friends and family at the end-of-session water shows.
The program runs 16 hrs per week.
Masters
A competitive Masters program for athletes that will be 18 years or older on December 31 of the competition season year. These mature athletes participate in local competitions annually and national/international competitions depending on the team’s interest.
